Oh, and Loki, I use mouse pads with my optical mice all the time. I much prefer the feel of a pad to the feel of my ultra cheap, particle board desk.

my desk at home is one of those grainy sams-club tables, mousepad is a necessity (i like my 18"x18" mousepad )

yeah some desks REQUIRE mosepads regardless of the mouse type. the wrong surface or variations in reflection can cause discrepancies between pointer and hand movement. pisses me off... i dont have a pad on my wooden table and every once and a while it will get on some wood grain pattern and cause the pointer to scroll on it's own...lol.

mousepads - look like they could be good but without an actual mousepad pic and not a cropped supra image i'd be weary of their print quality. plus it doesnt cost 15 dollars to ship this unless you hail from japan. even then...
