My moms co worker got a new car and was gonna sell his 1994 Chevy Corsica, well, only thing wrong for not passing inspection was the EGR Valve. He replaced it and gave me the car said gimme $400 whenever. I was like :aigo:

Its nothing fancy, its nothing great and under the left front tire theres a popping noise or something that I need to check, other than that, Im blessed. I finally got a car to drive me around to work and places I NEED to go while I save up for my car!!!

Now the plans have changed, my baby is getting its GTE engine NOW!

since the supie isnt running I wanna put my sawblades on this thing, what do I need to know or do to get this done? Sawblades tires are new..

that popping noise, what do I look for? Its a FWD car. The engine looks NICE and maintained for its year, drives fine. Seems like it has some good power. Theres no tach though, can I get one on a car that never had one?

Seems great anyways, tape player so I can use my iPod hook up! YES SCORE...

Its grey, red interior, and definately a beater. Gotta use a screwdriver to open the trunk, and there is shit in there.

Oh and last but not least (right now) The car CANT be locked, if I lock it, I cant get in it. I need the other key, can I have one made and where and how much? Its automatic locks also if that makes ANY difference.

I feel very blessed right now, my entire life flipped yesterday when I got into a HUGE arguement with my parents about my car being in the garage so long, they wanted ot junk it and leave me with NOTHING!!! ANyways, this came up today and I feel SO blessed and thankful, I dont care how bad the car looks, I love it and what its gonna do for me....

All of which = close but no fitty

The noise up front could be a bunch of things help us narrow it down. What side??? where does it sound like its coming from?????

CV Axels? How much will it cost to fix and can I do it myself?

Ive never had a FWD car but Im familiar with the workings, a little.

Drivers side front tire, sounds like a clunk almost like the tire is hitting the fender wall but I checked, nothings hitting.

I lived in nothern Michigan for years, drove short distances every day year round, and had the CV joints go out at least every other year due to road salt, and boots falling apart. Diagnosis is really simple: Driving about 25 mph with the windows down, turn sharply to the right and then quickly to the left. Go back and forth a few times. You will hear an unhealthy sound coming from whichever front wheel is giving you problems - or both.

You're just missing the door key? Take your vin, and future registration to a local GM dealership. Tell them you want a door key.
At the dealership I work at, we cut those type of keys for free.

Its easy go to advance auto parts. The part will cost you 50 dollars but will have a core charge on it so you get about 30 dollars back. They just give you the whole drive shaft just take the old one out and put the new one in. MAke sure you get a new seal too as yours will probly be dried out. Get a second person to help it will go faster. Its not that hard if you need more help you can pm me and i will try and help you. Make sure itd that 1st it will make noise when you turn. your gonna need to know what side it is on too.

Replacing axles in a FWD car can only get a little bit easier, then they'd fall out on their own.

Remove the axle nut
remove the nut holding the lower ball joint to the control arm and knock it out of the arm
give the axle a good pry at the transmission and it should come right out if it's a c-clip design. If it's a roll-pin type, then you need to get the pin out of the axle before you start tugging at it.

Yeah he has the same engine and trans as my beretta that i replaced the axles on. Has nothing holding it in the trans. Just need to get the new seal thats about it.

Do not I repeat do not put your sawblades on that car. Especially if the tires r new. Good replacement tire cost on average 100$. So save the good rubber 4 the supra your going need them.As soon as I read your post I thought CV joints. The info u got is the same I would have told u and it is relatively easy.I did it 4 times on my ProbeGT and Mazda MX-6. Check the boots around the CV joints if they are cracked or torn the CV joints r no good 'cause once dirt gets in them its a wrap 4 the joints. If u need more info on replacement of the joints holla.:icon_bigg

Ok I need to find what the damn temp sensor is called on this car so I can get one. I think the temp gauge wont work bc its busted, bc theres also a wire going from the fusebox directly to the radiator fans power line. So it will automatically come on when the car does. I need help finding it, I looked on autzone.com and overnight auto parts. how do I find out?

The relay is probably bad for the fan. Post a pic of the engine bay - are you running a 3100 V6 in there?

Ok so I need the CV Boot? I cant find any CV Joint item at Autozone or Oreilleys websites.

OK Just cleaned out all the trash, too hot to vaccumm right now, I dont wanna get really sweaty. It needs its registration too, just looked at that. Im going to take it to get inspected in about 15 mins, hopefully it runs ok in this heat.

I found something that scares me though, an empty canister of radiator stop leak fluid. I bet this thing is leakin somewhere.... in houston, thats not good.

Good luck man. If it's a 3.1L, expect to replace lower intake gaskets. They leak like 7M's HG's do. Keep up on it. It's much easier to do intake gaskets than a headgasket....
