Lol really. I personally think our chains are getting yanked, but I pray they are not because if this is for real i'm gonna be shoving people out of line to get mine, lol.

I'm actually going to contradict my words. I have been doing some research and phone calls of my own, and this is no BS. They actually have the OEM parts there and ready to start work, it looks like it will be about 8-10 weeks before the first ones made get shipped back to the thread starter, but it IS infact being done. I've confirmed it with two folks over at ED. So let the new era of MKIII Customs begin.

I also send my gratitude to Juan for getting this ball rolling. You lucky SOB you beat me to it! Atleast I'll still get a discount, lol.

well here is another line to throw out....

composite (fiberglass, CF, CF/Kev don't care really) entire DASH. Looks is whatever and really don't need the shineyness on top (sun reflections are evil! EVIL!).

Weight. that is important.. :)

I told u ! There never any faith, I live like a couple minutes from the ED warehouse, as soon as I got a reply of what they needed, I jumped out and pulled off all my oem parts. I'm going to be rocking everything for SILV 08.

or maybe something a little more custom..... how about a carbon fiber 3 gauge holder/mount for the center console. one that would replace the ashtray. i know im not the only one who has problems finding where to mount more gauges

You won't get any more custom than a carbon dash. It is a task to make that, trust me. ;)

intrest?

I can think of only of about 4 maybe 6 folks that would be intrested in forking over cash for a full composite dash. I know what it will cost but that does not deter me. :)

^^^ Agreed.

I'm not a fan of the A-piller gauge holders, and having a gauge holder that fits in place of the ashtray would be perfect for me.

Its not one whole piece, u still would need a window, what would be solid and flush is the part where u mount your wing and windshield wiper hole. There's alternative window like a plexy glass, once its tinted it will look good. Maybe other ways.
