Why does it have an R154? Those prices sound like it should come with a v160 (iirc)...

I had the option, between an r154 or v160. I chose the 154 because Id have to cut up my mkIII in order for the v160 tranny to fit. And I dont want to do that.

v160 runs about $5000 by itself....price sounds normal for said setup.

Maybe if it's out of a USDM MKIV, but I seriously doubt it.

Not to mention they're swapping out the gearbox so you'll be lucky to get all the parts included....

For that price I say it's worth getting the V160 and have 6 speed but I would look for another motor because 32k with no real verification is not good.

ya if you can get the 6 speed for the same price get it and just sell it. you will make at least 2-3gs of that alone if its in good condition. sp can make a v160 fit with the stock sifter location i saw it in the classifieds.
