i'm hitting fuel cut so i'm throwing code 34 which is abnormal turbocharger pressure. So today i checked the timing on my car with the diagnostic box jumpered. It was showing 15 degrees advanced.
My question is, do i have to reset my ECU and wipe out code 34 before checking the base timing??
also i was always under the impression that the ECU will RETARD the timing if it senses any problems like boost pressure or knock. Well in my case i have fuel cut issues so if my car reads 15 degrees advanced now did that mean BEFORE i was at more then 15 degrees, assuming that the ECU did retard the timing DOWN to 15....
THANKS!!
