"what are the hp limits of a 2jz intake manifold compared to the stock 7m one? "

Not much difference since the stock 7M intake manifold flows slightly better than th 2JZ intake manifold.

An even "cheaper" alternative to the JZ mani. It's what ill be using in conjunction with a Q45 Throttle Body, its a beautiful peice of metal i got mine $10 off by getting it through their ebay site. Shouldnt cost you anymore than $150, but thats with the end caps and TB adapter.
http://www.rossmachineracing.com/halfround.html

and as i recall supracentral did this with a 2JZ mani. and had a write up on it and he still hasent POSTED IT!!! lol;)

sweeeeet! im gona go custom now i guess with a big ass throttle body.

one more question is an apexi neo a good choice for now?

im aiming for a fully built motor running a stock ct.with exception of rods and pistons.drive her like that until i have about 2 grand saved up......

400-600hp, 57 trim, Q45....

Okay, now I know you're totally clueless.

what?!

90mm throttle body custom ffim 57 trim dm turbo.i should easily reach mid 400's.the 2 grand i was talking bout will be for cp pistons and eagle rods and hks cams titan cam gears.

i also plan on upgrading to the dm t-66 once i get all the bugs worked out of the 57 trim and everything is running smooth.

this is my parts list for my stock 7mgte before if gets swapped in.

earls oil cooler
cf boost gauge
1.4 mm hks mhg
full clevite 77 bottom end
walbro fuel pump
new aisin oil pump
dm oil line kit
90mm tb from dm
custom ffim
dm intercooler the 150$ one
valve cover gasket set
new piston ring set from dm
arp headbolts
7mgte full gasket kit
apexi neo
3in dp....and a few other small things

remember all this is going to be a bone stock 7mgte with a stock ct26.

after a few months and the bugs are workd out im gona upgrade my ct to a 57 trim and save up for forged internals and cams.drop em in.

few months later when the internals are broken in im gona drop in the dm t-66:evil2:

The stock head, intake mani, cams and throttle body are good for mid 10s, ask slow66. 10.5 second 1/4 mile run, with just a 61mm.

We've made 675whp on a stock intake mani/TB, 2.5" Ic pipes and vpc/afc combo. Not an ideal setup, but it went like a raped ape....

Stock manifold is not bad at all. But I am confused how you guys are saying the 57trim will do that much power. I have never turned mine up above 18psi but I was already having boost fall off on top end(I did go a bit rich.) I could see it pushing 22-24 lbs at the most on race gas. So maybe 440wrhp but I doubt the 57 Trim will last long at all! lol

I highly agree, i couldnt see a 57 flowing that much.

OP, As for doing your own manifold, if your looking towards staying in the 400 range you dont need more than the stock peice, which has been stated. If you do go with a manifold i would steer clear of the Q45TB also, its to big for the power numbers your looking at.

<--- takes old yeller to the back of this cabin...

2jz does not mate with the 7m plenum without some serious elbow grease.

90mm TB on a 57 trim turbo?

Yeah, this is definetly old yeller........
