Looks sweet, seems like everyone is after specs on this one.

Hey everyone, the energy crisis has been solved! No more dependence on oil, we just found a way to make free electricity!

I'm jealous though, because everyone just laughed at my idea:

You just need a pump to get the stuff back up top right? then you can make a small waterwheel electric generator thing to power the pump which will generate more free... stuff when it gets pumped back up... simple I say! XD :nono:

most electric vehicles are direct drive so what gears do you really end up using and whats the redline?

Can't say what Amped's plans are but I dug up specs for the Warp 11:
Continuous RPM: 3000
Redline RPM: 5000
Ft/lb @ 300A: 74.3
Ft/lb @ 1000A: 320
Ft/lb @ 1400A: 460

Since his page says he's got a 1000A controller it's got 320 ft/lb of torque and a top speed over 100 mph (5000 rpm in 5th for the R154).

320 lb/ft... as with all electric motors.. torque is greatest when the motor is at zero RPM and current is applied. So that means it will take off like a bat out of hell from the big donut.

Damn.....that's pretty amazing stuff. 320 lb/ft is pretty respectable too for numbers. Like others, I wonder what the range and charge time would be on it and what it would be 110V vs 220V (people like plugging things in to their "regular" sockets).

There was a thread some years back on SF where some crayon in the pencil box thought recirculating exhaust through the intake would make the cleanest burn and thus be the most efficient way to pass emissions :: facepalm ::

You mean like the egr system does?
Or was he making his own? Because right now I'm picturing a Y pipe after the exhaust manifold where a flexible tube is routing the exhaust to another Y pipe before the afm, so... you know... the ecu will know how much is coming in :sarcasm:. The latter would make me facepalm, too, lol.

Picture a turbo, with a donut connecting each end, mounted on an engine. No tail pipe, you'd lose 100 percent efficiency factor. And that shit make POWA!!
