I have a 92' Cressida with the 7mgte 5-speed. Ran the track at 13.2 on the stock interooler and turbo! Cressidas are actually lighter then *oink* *oink* mk3's. Also my front bumper blocks the view of my stock fmic so no one gets any wiser..

that is a GORGEOUS SC300 Ric

Yeah, its Mario's. Just got completed. Did 644whp on a stock JDM head and block. Crower cams are going in soon. It now has a 97+ front end style bumper.

It's got all the good stuff.. 76mm turbo, TH400, AEM, etc.

It should do mid 700's off the spray soon, and in the 800s whp on the nitrous.

mx83 cress has 7mge auto only. In japan they are actually pretty respected because they came with 1jz and make good drift cars.

The jza70 and the x8 cress were the first 1j cars iirc and the X chassis was also the last 1j car. They had it until 2004. I think the markII blit wagon was the last. I know its a wagon but still technically X chassis.

Personally I think cressidas are kind of ugly. but the 3 trims they offered in japan are nice. And the later generations are freaking awesome.

More on that here:

Man I'm bored.

Yeah the Blit Wagon came VVTI 1JZGTE turbo til 2005. The 2006 model and newer are non turbo 1JZGE VVTI.

People claim the 2JZ-GTE is the best motor toyota ever built, but the 1JZ turbo was in production alot longer

im member on here too if you search

i ran a best of 10.70 at 127 with the to4r which is in that photo

i went to a t51r after that and went 10.17 at 137mph at 37 psi on a stock 1j with drag radials

i now have a built 1.5jz and have gone 10.00 at 146

the car has a 9.40 at 150 in it at present.

we still have 15 psi to tune in and a lot more gas so there is still plenty more to come then i will bolt the slicks on it and get some weight out of it.

www.1jz747.com.au is now back up

cheers

That guy is on SF. I still don't understand building a four door family car. But to each his own.....

Tell that to the STI and EVO owners. If those models are so special, why couldn't they spring for a special chassis to differentiate them from the other, less sporty models? That's right - a more aggressive wing and extra lights cost less than making them true sports cars, and who is going to notice they are 4-doors when they are so fast and aggressive looking? LoL

They should have brought the STI 22b to the states.

Nice time! A friend of mine just dyno'd his 92 5spd Cressida tonight on a Dynojet 248C and his numbers were really good. 590whp@30psi and 664.6whp@30 psi with a 50 shot, stock 1J, hybrid turbo and of course the LTX-12 management system, looking for 10's..lol..
