Yea well, the temp gauge pointed north and I said fuck it, but prior to this me and my bro where talkin about my 2jz swap I'm gonna be doing this summer, and how I hoped my engine would just fuckin blow up. To be honest, I'm kinda glad the temp went through the roof, I don't know yet if its the water pump that went out or if its BHG, the thing is way to hot for me to open and look at it right now.

But 2jz! WoOT!!!!

I know sounds stupid, but I'm happy.

Overheating doesn't automatically mean BHG.

But usually if it wasn't because of a BHG that you overheated, the overheating will cause a BHG

Its not BHG, Like I said before, it was steaming like mad when I pulled into the driveway. The overflow reservoir had the gauge thingy fall out some how and it was flowing into the bottle but out on the ground. No harm was done to the 7m, but I don't care, I'll act like it blew up, just so I have incentive to tackle this project.

That's one reason why....but detonation will kill ANY engine, no matter how built.

For what it's worth, we have a 2JZ with a blown head gasket at work right now.

Well, you have to understand this engine has almost 200k miles on it, and hasnt been rebuilt or had the HG changed.
I'm prolly gonna drop it into a MKII for a rally, I dunno when and not anytime soon but it would be fun.
I've had this engine for 4+ years now and its never really messed up at all, I'm suprised it didn't dmg it, I just filled it back up and its fine.
So I'm gonna say my 7m is one tough SOB, and will continue its legacy on the garage floor(for a while anyways).
