Today I go out to start car after one day of not driving it and it wont start. Engine will turn over fine but just wont start. I think its getting fuel because I have pressure on the fuel pressure regulator gauge. Ive also noticed that there doesn't seem to be a metal contact on one of the coils where the spark plug wire connects to it. I have held a spark plug wire to ground metal and didnt see a spark, think my coil pack could be shot?

Ran codes also, showed 43, 42, , 12 and 31. My speed cable is broke so I know thats why I have 42.

I cleared the codes to see if it would throw any when I tried to start it. The only one I got after trying to start it again was code 12. Would this prevent the car from starting? Ive checked the coil pack with ohm meter and it checked out fine, also tried different coil pack. saw a few threads on here pointing to the cps as reason for code 12. Ill look for bad wires to that when its light out.

Got dark on me before I could check the cps wires. Ill get on that today and see if needle moves when I try and crank.

Went out and wiggled the cps wires and it fired up. from the harness clip back to the cps, the little black area where the wires go into cps seems a little loose. Don't see any wires broken on outside of cps. Drove it and now code 12 is gone plus it runs better because I changed the coil pack that didn't have metal tab inside spark plug wire connection. Ill try track down reason the cps acted up in the first place.

NOOB QUESTION

How do you check the coil pack, I searched for it on here and I can't find anything.

Is cps cam position sensor?

sorry about the noob questions.
