I want new lights but stock headlights are self contained. I was just wondering what some of you guys would suggest based on what you've done. I want it to be brighter than stock but hids are out of my budget.

sylvania silverstar's are a great up grade. i use hid's so they dont compare but they are a great upgrade over stock.
Does anyone know if sylvania makes the ultras in the selfcontained units that they have for the silvers. I almost bought a set of them, but I whant to know if I can get more powerful lights without breaking the bank for hids.

Do you have the link for how to do that? I mean for 20 bucks the oe replacements wouldn't be horrible.
you could also search on acura forums for some used head lights(with high beam projectors) with the ballasts and power supply(throwing a memory loss for terms.)
my car has like 06 tsx high beam projectors that are 5k(highest usable light) that are glued into stock(unsure- my friends don't think so i don't remember) housing with the ballast and all wired into the stock connectors. (don't flame me i know the re wire would be wise but i don't want to hack the car and my lights work great.)
there are cheaper alternatives than buying a quality custom hid setup(not the eBay shit that will die in less than 6-12 months). oem conversion can be done for somewhat cheap(er).
i've looked for a quality setup to replace what i have with the headlights only going up half way with dual projectors and my total was in the 7-1000$ price range. but then i think again and i already have a hid setup so i would just rather use the money else where.
