I'm going in tomorrow to get them out. I guess thats better than living off ibuprofen. Still, it's gonna suck. And to make things worse, I just found out that I can't go to formula d or the open drift before. Oh well.

Depending upon your age and how far they've grown in, it could be quick and easy, or horribly long.

When they did mine, they didn't put me fully out. They cut me open, pulled em out, and stitched me back together. My brother that was older at the time they had to put under, cut him open, us the drill to break it up, and then stitch back together.

If they cut into your mouth, you should get the good pills. I felt no pain, and was high off my ass at the same time.

I had my teeth cleaned monday and the dentist told me that mine were trying to come in. I'm thirty seven and it looks like this is in my near future.

This thread makes my teeth hurt.

My dentist told me I had the largest roots he's ever heard of in his career, when pulling my wisdom teeth... it took over a year for the holes to fill in.

I'm not looking forward to the pain. the pills, however, is a different story. I'm thinking this as weight reduction. Wonder what my 1/4 time will be after this? :)

The pills knocked me out cold, I slept for a week...

I ate frostys and this sounds gross, but try it: mashed potatoes, apple sauce, and a bit of salt for flavoring

Mine were all impacted and had to be cut and drilled. After that everything tasted like blood and my face puffed up like a chipmonk for a week. Just make sure they give you the good drugs and take a week off work/school/ect and watch movies while your stoned out of your mind.:biglaugh:

I dunno what everyone is bitching about, getting your wisdom teeth out isn't bad at all. If your Dr is any good you wont feel anything while they get removed other than vibration/pressure etc. but no pain. Take the following day off school or work to stay at home and let your mouth settle down and then go about life like normal after that.

I had mine pulled last September. Top two came right out, bottom two were impacted. (I was 23, and they'd been in for toooo long:()

They just gave me Novocaine (sp?). Didn't really hurt. Just a bit sore. It took them about 40 min each to get the lowers out. LOL. I was fully awake, and could hear the roots snapping and stuff. It was pretty neat.

The thing that sucked, is I got a dry socket after the surgery. THAT hurts. It hurts to eat, sleep, poop, breathe, etc...

Pray you don't get a dry socket! Other than that, it's cake. :)

I had mine pulled about 8-9 years ago I think..
I remember they had a problem sticking me with the needle for the IV, and I felt nauseous - something that never happens with shots but happens when they stick me with an IV [which is the main reason why I won't give blood, BTW].
When they put the drugs in the line, it felt amazing. I asked the doctor where i could get some of it, and they assured me that it would be illegal. They had me talking more and asked me to say the alphabet backwards. I think I got to X.
When I was done, they took me in a wheelchair to my friend's car, but I felt like I didn't need it. He drove me home. I had him stop about 3 miles down the road so I could puke. I got home and puked again. This was bad because I didn't have anything in my stomach. Then he was about to leave and I puked again. I must have a problem with anesthetics.

Either way, I remember eating pudding and applesauce, and that my bottom wisdom teeth were absolutely huge.
