Wiring Harrness problems

I have and 89 auto turbo ECU has all gray connectors I got another harness because the one I have is all beat up. But did not notice the new harness I got has yellow connectors for the ECU. The yellow connector will not plug in to my ECU and it looks to have one more connector then my gray plug harness. My question is can I just get an 87-88 ECU to work with my yellow harness even though my car is an 89? Also does it have to be an automatic ECU or can I use a 5 speed ECU. My car originally was an auto, I am doing a 5-speed swap?

You can use a 5-speed or auto ECU if you are converting to 5-speed. I'd suggest getting an 89 harness though. The body connectors will not match up on the harness you just got either, so you're just asking for a ton more work.

I'd suggest getting an 89 harness for sure, it's the best way of knowing it will work.

Yea...you will have to repin the body harness in your car now and its a pain in the but....why chance it?
