I purchased a 89+ grey plug gte harness a few weeks ago. We started putting it on the engine and my roommate seems to think that the alternator is supposed to have a plug on the harness. I am not 100% sure...is this true? I hope not...the seller claimed the harness was complete and missing no plugs. Thanks!

I know the main wire to the alt isn't on the wiring harness, but I'm unsure if the other plug is. I want to say no because I think it's loomed with the main wire but I could be wrong.

Ok that's what I thought. I took a brief look at my n/a and it didn't appear that the main or secondary(name??) alternator wire were on the engine wiring harness, but it was getting dark so I couldn't see well.

I think that there is a plug for the alternator. because i remember that when my friend got his engine we plugged a wire to the alternator from the harness and started the engine on the ground before we putted it in the car. the engine was a 1jzgte vvti, so i could be mistaken in your case.

There is no plug on the engine harness it self for the Alternator.. There is the charge wire and the 3 pin/wire connector for the alternator on the chassis harness/fuse box harness it self..
