So I did the gte motor into my 89 na, got the gray plug ecu, harness, and engine, all from the same car.. now.. the b1 plug by the ecu doesnt match up.. I am going to repin it.. but I've looked though the tsrm and the tewd and just can't find the right page..

I am kinda lost at this point, been online searching for hours now..

SOS lol..

Ok, update.. I just went ahead and pulled all the pins from the two connectors (after I made note of where they WERE first lol).. I started putting the 89 harness pins back into the B1 connector from the car itself (89 na 5 speed), by matching the wire colors.. now..

I have one wire from the old na harness that doesn't have anywhere to go, and two wires from the harness that's now on the motor that have no where to go..

The wires on the harness that weren't from the car in the first place, that have nowhere to go are:

Black with a blue line (thicker than most of the wires in the harness there at the B1 plug)
Teal with a red line through it..

Here's the pic of the wires that are on the harness not matched up to the car...

Here's a pic of craziness that took place rewiring all the connections to the B1 plug after depinning both connectors...

Does anyone know what these other two wires are for?

Here is the thread that I followed when re-pinning mine. I relied heavily on the post from 92TealSupra, and instant messaging with him on AIM. He never chimed in until page 2.

First, even though both 89 and 90 are both grey plugged, they are not the same, as you have found out. The biggest change between those 2 years is the air bag. That would be my guess as to what your extra wires are for without studying it more than I have.

that green/red one shouldnt be too hard to follow assuming its the only one, the harness isnt too big. on my harness im pretty sure i seen two of those black/blue ones though..

what year is your harness? im putting a 90 harness/motor in a 7/89 na shell.. that's where my problem comes in.. seems like an early 89 car, with an 89+ harness and ecu, etc.

Alright. If I ever get a hold of a '89 + harness I will do more wiring Schematics. For starters use this.
http://92tealsupra.webs.com/early89harnesswiring.htm

Your green/red wire is useless unless you want a/c, once you know what color on your harness are the ones to run and start your car you'll be set. Hope the site provided will show you what you need. Any additional questions please post in the thread so everyone* can help you out. I am not on here much anymore, I just checked my PM's I had (9)

Note: if anyone needs to get a hold of me, Nsinfamy@hotmail.com will be your best bet. It goes directly to my phone so I will get it within 10 minutes, instead of 3-4 weeks.

From the looks of your wiring I see a larger Black/Blue for your Starter Solenoid, and the other one is for, A/T circuit for coil opening relay------------------------------------------Medium / Black Blue

I posted this site awhile ago if anyone needed help. What most people do not know! The way the Turbo harnesses work. Most think it is 87-88 and then 89-92, incorrect. They changed the pin outs on more then just two harnesses, it also depends on a lot of factors listed below.

The colors of the wires don't change much throughout the years. What changes the most is if your car has ABS, TEMS, Progressive power steering, Automatic transmission, and '90 + had air bags. The pre '89 has the different wires pinned differently, but the site I provided is for a early '89 so please
