Second rule is to make it fail proof. You want it accessable so if the relay or switch fails, you can change it easily and have spares with you.
Third rule is, make sure it kills the car even if the relay fails, meaning don't have it set to constantly closed, and then open with an alarm or something, and most importantly won't affect operation of the car when it is running, like the fuel pump or ignition.
Ok, one last rule. Don't install the relay under the dash, that is the first place theives will look. Look at the TSRM and figure out a good place to put it...
