I won't have cruise control in my car, but I will in my truck and that's what I plan on driving up there. I may change my mind about it, but I hate driving without cruise, and I wanted to make sure I'd have a way home if something tore up.

I've been working on mine and my wifes nonstop since Christmas. I installed some 550's, 255 fuel pump, lexus afm, and just put her transmission in last night in the dark. It won't shift into drive. It'll go into second, but that's it. I had a shop rebuild it and they have it now so hopefully it'll be something easy to fix. I don't want to pull that thing out again. That's like the fourth time I've pulled it out and reinstalled it. Not the same tranny everytime but it still counts.
I painted my block, installed my newly p and p head with my 272 crower cams. It's going to be so sweet to get to drive it again. I can't hardly wait. What are you doing to yours Ken? I just thought I would ask since this is your thread.................:biglaugh:

I am pulling off all the body mouldings , window mouldings, mirrors, handles, spoiler, lights , bumpers, everything to start prepping car. I also got the fidanza cam gears..... the 272 cams , springs and retainers are supposed to be in within the next couple weeks. Right now I'm having a mental dillema wether or not to use the bomex sides or find something different, whatever I use will be a permanent part of the body, so I just want to make sure.

I didn't put retainers in with my cams. I used the stock ones, hopefully that will be o.k. I did some research and they're suppose to be fine. Please take lots and lots and lots of pics of your transformation..................:love:

The springs are required for the 272's because the stockers will bind, and the spring / titanium retainer set was only $300....I will take a ton of pics of course, but maybe not post the final pics until after CHI2K7?? If I can hold out!suprahero said:

I was told by Zazzn, that the 272 small core cams didn't require any upgraded springs or retainers. The stock ones is what everyone was using. I'm going to be pissed if my head tears up because of this. I've already had it completely rebuilt with the stock parts, except for the cams. Hopefully it will be o.k..................:x:
That may well be Hero, they are required for the Brian Crower 7M 272's, they have the highest lift of any cams I've seen for 7m or JZ. Not the same as what you're running. I'm sure those guys know what they're talking about.

I plan on capturing one of the next 12 ROTM's, wether I do it in the white 87, or some future 89-92. The white car is getting better every day. And parts swapped from my 90 will make me like it more as well. But, I want a 92 to build my monster out of (don't we all).
