Windshield replacement question

My car came with a cracked windshield. Mine is a 89 I bought a windshield off of a guy who said it came off a 87 and it is too small I thought 87 would fit same body style?

What years fit a 89

I would guess 89-92, but it's safe to assume an '89 windshield would fit

No it wasn't 87 I'm wrong I brought it off the junk yard I said I had a 89 they brought one from outback had a sticker saying 89. Before I dropped it off to get painted I was cleaning the new windshield and under the tag it said 86 do the guy must of say the 6 as a 9 and 86 is alot different car lol

as the MKIII came out as a half year model (86.5), you probably have a MKII windshield

Don't know what you just said, but all MkIII winshields are the same size.
If you have an early '86 windshield, then it's from a MkII, and would be the wrong size/ shape.

Ya it's a early 86 windshield. Autocorrect on my phone does stupid stuff so that's y it didn't make sense lol.

I'm going back to the junk yard they have a 88 with a good windshield.

Got one off the 88 fits perfect even came with the 6in strip of tint on top...
