Is the flow meter another part I need to buy from Snow?

I'm going to buy it as pieces rather than a whole kit, but maybe that will end up costing more?

I'm finally off dial up speed so I can suss it out, plus not buying a reservoir will make a big saving on shipping costs!

gilbert, az
I just added a washer reservoir to my car(PO removed it and I just never bothered until now) and it wasn't bad to get in/out. I undid half of my undercover fasteners and got it out of the way enough and got the fender liner about half off and that gave me room. I put mine in and then found out one of the motors wasn't pumping water so I had to rip it all back out again.

It turned out one of the metal screens on the pump was totally clogged, cleaned right off and was good to go. I also cleaned the reservoir out by throwing some big nuts and bolts in and some degreaser/water mix and shook it around.

+ set the ECU to pull it back to just the WG/safe setting, a flow meter input is also handy to protect the engine.

Reading up on that you can only use it with their safe guard system? Running with the M800 SDL combo there must be some other way and not need a separate guage maybe.

Did you use the flow meter on your setup?

Edit I think I understand now, the link you had was to the guage rather than the actual safeguard system. That definately does look like something worth having

It would be cool to have the SDL display the water injection cc.

I still am trying to think of something useful to do with the gear indicator on the SDL, maybe I could have it display duty cycle of the PWM for the pump, pretty crude with one digit but still better than nothing

Anothe super Ninja edit, looking at the wiring setup here

It looks like you need to use it with the SNOW kits "Brain" for that purple wire input. Though could I perhaps substitute the PWM output for the pump from the M800 to keep it happy?
