Anyone know where to get new window trim? I am going to have my car painted and would like to have the window trim on the windshield, rear quarters, and hatch replaced right after having the car painted.

Well, 2 years ago I got caught in a hail storm (like this happens every 50 years here), and the brittle molding on my '89 chipped. It all looked like crap.
The body shop ordered them all (6 pieces) from Toyota dealer. They were $614 installed. The labor was only $80 of that.

But...the car sure does look great with those new pieces.:biglaugh:

I just repainted my car last year!!!! I was able to go to toyota for the front windshield molding and the door moldings but around the rear hatch I was told from toyota that they no longer produce those parts. I was lucky enough to find a car in a salvage yard locally and I stole all of the trim. A little advice the trim in the back around the back hatch window sucks ass to remove and install.. I went oh so slow and had to start over a bunch of times on the sides of the hatch. The top and bottom is easy just snaps. the trim over the top of back windows sucks to install also.
Good Luck

I got them 2 years ago. But...maybe they are running out of parts for our "near collector cars". hee.hee :)

I just checked not too long ago, and my Toyota dealer can still get ALL the window mouldings. I believe I am going to get all of them before it's too late.

so check this out.

i have the Top and bottom piece for the rear hatch. they would need refinished though. and the 4 corner pieces. the sides of the rear hatch self-destruct upon removal. they are specified as Non-reusable pieces. the rear hatch leaks into the interior because the rubber grommets that seal around the studs deteriorate and admit water into the car.

i have the rear quarter windows, in good condition with all the corner pieces.

i have the door and front glass trim, but not removed yet, so i dont konw if they will survive the removal process.
