I am shaking my head in disbeleif at the bad information posted in this thread by so many people. If you are going to do any electrical testing at least invest in a test light and ohm/voltmeter. Both of these items can be purchased for $10-15. These two tools will save you much time and money as Shiffer has found out with his numerous motors and switches.

Also, why would anyone suggest removing a questionable working switch and test it with another questionable working switch? That has to be the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. If you are going to do your diagnosing by swapping parts at least do it with known good working parts. Not a part you found in the salvage yard the looks better than yours.

I actually knew that my other switch worked and after switching not only did the window functions work but I tested the switch and the switch was the problem.

Testing with a known good item isnt a problem. I actually have some known good parts in my tool box that are strictly for testing purposes. Sometimes it is easier and faster to test that way. I was just dismayed that people would tell him to just get one from a salvage yard without testing either switch first.
