I'd persist with sorting the hydro fan as from everything I read they're awesome when working correctly.

No e-fan on the market will even come close.
Okay I dont have faith in my Hydro fan because it only goes a little bit faster when I increase rpms and I can stop it with my finger and it doesn't hurt ( feels weak)

Sounds like there is an "issue" there as I said I hear really good things about them! (no way would I try to stop one with a finger if it was running correctly)

Next best course of action would be the 2JZ Engine fan (think you need the pump as well but I'm not 100% on this)

I'm not a big fan of e-fans ;)

I new that me stopping it with my finger was wierd.. I don't really know how to troubleshoot that system. what about the thermostat, will that fit?

It isnt, To be honest I would fix your hydrofans.

A 2jz setup is all bolt up.

To complete it you would accually need All of this

Fan Shroud
Fan
Clutch
Waterpump

2jz thermostat is direct replacement

Okay I guess I will try diagnosing my Hydro fan and I'm going to buy that thermostat. Off topic but what do you think of pillowball strut mounts? are they worth it over stock mounts?

Any reason you would need pillowballs?

Do you race? Do anything competitive?

Thats the only real benefit I can see.
I putting on new struts, the mounts are probly not in good shape becuase the struts are all blown and I go to driftdays and practice events.

Hp gain from e-fans will be eaten up in alternator drag to run then....

Pillowball mounts are a joke in our cars as we have superior double a arm suspension front and rear NOT McStrut..

There was dynos done WAY back in the day on SF. E-fan picked up like, 10-15hp or so. Not really worth it IMO, stick with clutch or hydro.

I HAVE to use an e-fan with the way my intercooler setup. I hate that part about this kit.

I use a ford taurus electric fan from the RX7 lookalike model years (96?+)

It's 2 speed, it's easy to wire it in just like factory (low and hi) with a simple thermostat. High speed is about the same as a hydrofan, around 3800cfm.

I'm single and non watercooled turbo, I never need high speed, the engine barely gets hot enough to open the thermostat as it is.

Don't you need the 2j water pump pulley? To make it complete?
