Will the Marling Crawler VSS sender work with an Autometer Digital Speedo Gauge?

looking on replacing a speedo on my datsun running the w58 trans with a digital VSS sender and thought the only one that will fit is the MC VSS? Either way im a little confuse as the gauges are programmable but it doesnt say anything about working with a 4 pulse sender...only 16 but i then saw it can be programmed/calibrated to work with a 8 pulse? So it might be able to do the MC 4 pulse?

Any one here ever swap over to a digital sender? Or know for sure if this will work?

Looking at the trouble shooting specs on the MC one, "The 0.8~1.2 V reading is the nominal voltage (outputs at least this much voltage at all times)"

The Autometer one says it needs to see 2.0-16v. Just by those numbers I'm skeptical that it would work.
