I will not have time to finish my motor repair maybe for the rest of winter and was wondering is there something I need to do to protect the motor? The pistons, fuel line, etc etc are all exposed to open air under a closed hood. The car is under a car cover but left outside and not in a warm garage. Will all these moisture cause any trouble? The car is completely drain of coolant and oil and just sitting there. No time to work on it. As you can see this is my first time doing this.... Its cold outside and raining allot.

Spray down the pistons/ walls with some sort of heavy lubricant that won't drain off. seal the fuel lines somehow- even if you just plastic wrap the ends.

Cover every open part with plasticwrap plastic bags and tape. You want to keep moisture away from internals. Also check on it every now and again; a friend of mine left his project car sitting for a month and some rats made a nest in his intake. :icon_evil

It was 14 degrees here today I spent my day out mounting an intercooler and oil cooler, no such thing as too cold to work on a supra:icon_bigg

make sure you have al the internals and cylinder walls coated with some lubricant of some kind. i left a block unprotected over a weekend once and there was already some small rust spots.

at LEAST use WD40 on everything

open internals = INSTANT surface rust that will ruin the block

don't screw around with it, if you have to it might be better to pull the engine, put it on a stand, spray it down and throw a garbage bag over it...
