Will a 88 turbo harness work for an early 89??

like the title says i was wondering if an 88 harness will work in an early 89(made 11/88) 7mgte swap. im going to swap the motor from my 88 into my 89 and needed to know if another harness would be needed. any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance:icon_bigg:icon_bigg

I think it'll if you have the same color plug for ecu. Grey or yellow.

ok ill have to check which might be kinda difficult since im in MD and the cars in OH. anyone know of an exact date as to when the plugs went from yellow to gray???
