will a 1 ton foldable shop crane (cherry picker) be able to pull out the 7mgte

7M-GTE weighs under 700 lbs with the transmission attached, so since 1T = 2000 lbs, and 2000lbs is significanly more than 700 lbs, you should be fine.

Be aware that Harbor Freight totally sucks for anything hydraulic, electrical, or pneumatic.

The problem is not so much the lifting cap. but the length of the boom. The one ton versions when the boom is extended all the way
the lifting cap. is 500lbs. and the total lift height is not as great as the 2 ton ver. Short boom will also not reach the center of the
engine compartment with the front bumper on. This is true with both the Harbor Freight ver. and Northern tool. Get the 2 ton.

I had the same problem, I ended up using the boom off a 2 ton hoist on the 1 ton and it worked no problem, I pulled my engine and auto tranny together, worked just fine

I have a 1 ton from orileys. The part where you jack hits my bumper making it hard for install. But Its possible with tons of love and a little dancing a swinging lol. But I got a fully assembled engine and tranny installed with it

Id say drop the tranny then pull the engine out unless you wanna just buy a 2 ton(that would be the best option)

yeah exactly what i was scared of...damm but it only 100 dollars do you think it worth it to get it or it wont even work ??? da 2 ton is 200 bucks

but 1 ton is a lil small. works great on trucks with the flat front end. with out bumpers lil tricky without removing it for that extra reach.
