Wierd Warning Light

When I went to start my car this afternoon, a warning light on the lift side of the dash next to the coolant temperature gauge came on. It looked kind of like a filter, but I doubt there is a filter warning light. It stayed on for about 5 seconds and hasnt come on since. Any ideas?

Check your coolant resovoir. That little indcator light says it was low.

Your bird it simply missing. Find said bird and replace.

Umm it means your coolant in the overflow tank is low...what more were you expecting? a BHG? fill the overflow to the proper level and the light goes out. Not exactly rocket science.

I've seen so many of these threads and every time I still chuckle. :biglaugh:

Refill your overflow tank, check all coolant hoses/fittings for any leakage. If you start to loose a bunch (8oz in 200-1000 miles) you may want to start diagnosing a BHG.

Can I add water to top up my Toyota red coolant? My car came with this coolant in it and I'm not sure how long its life is?

Wow, i wasnt expecting nearly this many replies. Anyways I filled the overflow back to the fill line and will make sure to monitor it closely for any leaks. Thanks for the help!
