ok i changed my oil and filter and im pretty sure by the sound of it its not rod knock, but there is a sound from the engine that sounds like some kind of aluminum can being scratched against some kind of metal... any ideas

the noise happens only around 1000 rpm and it goes away until around 2000 rpm and thats it. the noise isnt extremely loud or anything its just embarrassing and scary.
could it be the oil filter? maybe i did something? thats about the only thing i can think that would make the car make the noise and thats close to where the noise is coming from but not exactly
