wide tires on factory rims

so i'm getting tires and i want to get 245/50/R16.will i have any problems when turning and will the tire rub against the shock absorber.

you can do 255/50, i had them and they were alright.

right now i have 245/50s with no problems at all.

EDIT:

i only have the 245s out back, and 225s (stock size) upfront. i have no idea personally if 245/50s will rub or not up front.

Here's what mine looks like, keep in mind I prefer the tread width wider than the rims, this tucks the sidewalls in where they belong, it also prevents road debris from puncturing ther sidewalls. I know the fad is rims a few inches wider than the tread width I just aint into that fad, it just lays the sidewall out flat exposing it to easy puncture. Don't let the mushy response folks convince you it makes your tires mushy either, proper air pressure can easliy take care of this.

255 isnt too big? i thought it would be

+1 That wide rim w/ tire stretched on to it look is "gay for Moeman".
