Stiffer doesn't always mean better. I don't know how much thicker they are then 89+ since I don't have one.. however I remember everyone saying they are the best suspension upgrade you can get for the car. I don't really know what a fair asking price is at this point I'd have to research. I need to re-read the anti sway bar comparison tests thread but IIRC correctly Wiiass might have said something like whitelines might be too stiff? I havent read the thread in years though so maybe not.

well I have engineered race car suspensions so I am familiar with a car being too stiff from ARB's...a stock 91/91 MK3 is no where near too stiff from the arb.

I'd still be willing to bet they are quite an upgrade over stock. Thickness also doesn't mean that much considering the fronts are 2mm thicker on whitelines vs ST's, but there rears are 2mm less. Whitelines are supposedly way stiffer and about the same thickness. Also, the stock sway bars are a hallow or are they? ST's are def not hallow. Anyway, I have them listed in the fs section.

I don't really listen to a word most people say on which is the best... people always seem to have a bias for what they have bought.
