Well, the reason the GTR is talked about here is because its the other cars section, and cause Toyota hasn't come out with something sporty yet (the LF-A is in development, but not in production yet).

P.S: I do like the IS-F, and I'm surprised no one talks about it around here. It's talked about all the time at SF.

I will own a supra for as long as i live, the mk3 has a sort of timeless look to me, but i also appreciate other cars eg...FD's, IS-F, GTR, M3's, and M5's to name a few, all in all we like our supras, but we are also car enthusists.

Count me in with the people who are just driving the Mk3 till they can afford something better. I based my purchase of my car on the fact that no, I don't have a lot of money to spend on a car but I want the best that my money can get me. Hence, Mk3 Supra. It gives me a lot of car for my money.

When I can afford to buy more car, guess what I plan to do? Buy more car! This isn't a difficult concept. If I could afford to buy a Z06 right off the bat, the decision would be clear. But I look at the car enthusiast hobby as a series of steps. You work yourself up to owning the big iron.

Some choose to modify their existing cars but this essentially amounts to the same thing. You are graduating to a more powerful car, even if it is the same chassis.

This is just my 21 year old, skewed perspective. Take it for what it's worth.

I am a car enthusiast myself! In no way did I say we shouldn't talk about the GTR in the other cars section. My problem is, it seems every time I look at the new posts, there is another GTR thread. I myself am guilty of the same thing with this thread. I have posted in a thread or two about the car. I'm just tired of seeing so many threads about it.

What I want to see, is the results of somebody around here racing one!!!!!

I have seen them up close, and driven by a few. They are absolutely BEAUTIFUL CARS.
Put me down for the list of people who got a MKIII because it is a MKIII. I would possibly sell it and get either a MKII or a wingless MKIV, but chances are that I will keep the MKIII to keep the next owner out of the trees, and because I probably will not get what I want for it.

With the income I have, and money I spent on my MKIII I could have bought a MKIV by now, and not an NA.

Drove by another GTR today...

It failed the typical supercar test, it doesn't stick out from the crowd, it looks like just another car on the road :(

well im just going to put my .02cents into this, but since ive been stationed here in japan for the last two years i can say that ive grown to love every kinda car, cause every kinda car is here in japan, ive seen the supper cars, ive seen the VIP's, the crazy vans, touge cars, the drifters, the sanyo chasers, and ive been able to talk to all of those guys, and they all love there cars, but they all also have a found respect for the other types of cars, Yes, i do own a BNR32 skyline, it dosnt impress me much, but as far as some other the other stock type cars they have here, i would love to have and bring back, but i know ill never get to.

So if you love your car cool, if you dont, well try to make it the best you can, cause every car has its up's and its downs, so really you cant say one car is truly better then the other.

Err, my NA Supra stands out from , and I wouldn't exactly call it a supercar. There is far more to supercars than standing out at a set of traffic lights...

The GTR is special because it is the only true Japanese supercar that will be available for a long time.
