but going with an FFIM you can also an IC with openings on the opposite sides, instead of dual openings on a single side, which helps flow, I think...

Seems like it be a hell of alot easier just to bend a piece of aluminum pipe and have it coming out were the FFIM TB would be located, that way your accually modifying the inatake or TB. Just a custom made intercooler pipe similar to FFIM without the trouble of going complete FFIM.
Dose anyone get that?

In the search function, type "JayWay". Only one thread will show up, literally only one called something like "'tis how we do it down under" or something. Go inside that thread and you'll see your idea actually performed.

That's one way of doing it. JayRome used an adapter in the stock TB location and started the U-bend right there. His TB, IIRC, is further ahead of the alternator somewhere. Looks cleaner. That mod is one that goes fantastic with the 2JZ coils like Tookwik showed us.

Actually the one posted is cleaner and easier as you dont have to mess with the throttle cables and everything fits. Easy way of doing it but the big u bend doesnt help with flow. Kinda looks funny too. If you have access to a welder you can actually make them for pretty cheap.
