Who used to make stock FFIM's?

I remember some time ago someone would chop your stock plenum and turn it into a front facer. Who was it? I did the same but ran into a clearance issue after finding out that we were supposed to angle the TB downwards, but I want to make sure of a few things first.

I bought mine from a guy who has been in over seas for years. He didnt angle the TB either but i just took some of the hood brace out, No big deal to me. Some would not think about doin that tho. He also added material to make the intake a bit bigger at the flange to imitate the taper that fabricated mani's have. Im sure he's not the one your looking for but I might be bale to answer some questions.

Give me like 2 minutes to edit this very post. Uploading the pictures. Had to take a shower first.

EDIT:

Here's a side shot of the intake inside the car. I think I'll have the extension chopped off and then angled downwards.

Problem is this. In the following picture you can see that I put the stock throttle linkage on a block off plate. I'm afraid that the little tube that goes on over to the throttle body will hit the ISC/IAC when fully opened, which was the case actually, we just fixed it with a little bending.

Interesting but it looks like a bitch, i was gonna use the stock manifold aswell but seemed like the throttle wouldnt be fun to work with. Maybe ill try it after my car is running.

Don't need to put the alternator on before angling the TB, since it's going to hit it if I leave it in its stock location no matter what. We're already angling down the TB and then we'll work out the drop down bracket for the alternator. That's the easy part.

However, I do have one doubt. How have people modified their alternator tensioner brackets?

Battery and alternater arent a prob. Im sure their are gains, but what are they?

Simpler I/C piping, cleaner engine bay, and you don't have part of the IC piping running over the turbo. You also eliminate the choke point that is the 3000 pipe. That's it.

you an easily eliminate the 3000 pipe by either welding on the tb section of the 3000 pip to the other end or get a cressida plastic pipe. but shorter ic pipes = faster spool and less pressure drop.

Yeah, but I was giving Kami a direct answer to his question :).

Suruko, I'll send a PM in a bit though I'm sure we figured it out.
