I just saw a thread that said "56k no no" in the title. Does anybody have 56k? At $20/month, I think you could probably have a minimum of 786 pretty much anywhere in the country.

ye, unless you live out in the sticks and dont have cable or DSL available...I guess you can always go Sat or Cell...dunno
those who live too far from the civilized world, or those who don't know about DSL/Cable....which isn't very many nowadays.

I had 3MB DSL for the past several years. I moved recently a few miles out of town. Their is no cable/dsl available here. So I'm on 56k until I find alternative or re-locate. I was thinking about looking into Wireless.

56k in its dream. Hi speed or broad band of some sort is not available. When I moved here I called Direct TV(had them before). I wanted satellite TV and hi speed internet, and by law they can not broad cast here. Or so they told me.

6mb Cable, they keep jumping it up and no extra costs. Was 1.5, then 3, then 4 then now 6. Its roadrunner from timewarner, most of the time its great. Can be a bitch sometimes though.
