$4000 beater? Baller! I've been looking on CL lately and there's a lot of vehicles on there that get way better mileage than my Supra for $500 and less. I'll get my beater when I get my severance check in a couple weeks.

i guess when I bought it it wasnt a beater,,

i cant seem to keep beaters beaters as i tend to modify them and the gas mileage is about equal on my little toyota pickup and the supra. i usually just drive whichever has gas in it at the time.

Baller status achieved. You have a Lexus for a beater. lol

I just put some new shoes on it yesterday as well. I need to take pics. It got dark before I could get my camera.

Now, lets say my "DD" craps out, I also have an 06' CBR600RR.

I'll have to take a group photo of my rides.

1995 Geo Metro 1.0 5 spd.

When I first bought it, it was getting 38 MPG, Replaced a bunch of old shit with some desperately needed new parts, modded the TBI, best I've seen is 51MPG.

It's been down for a while now, need a new steering knuckle, it got jacked during the CV axle replacement (damn rusty bolts )

Drive the Eclipse GT mainly. Best I've seen is 31 MPG out of it, but now it's a little colder and I'm getting around 28-29 MPG.

I drive to work 32 miles one way each day... Can't wait to get the Geo fixed!

If you own a modded Mk3 it's almost mandatory to have a DD or really good public transport in your area ;)

Exactly. I went for 2 years (minus my stolen civic mis-hap last year) without a DD... I finally went out and bought an 03 Camry. Excellent daily car.

Iv'e gotten as good as 38mpg in my ae86 in the city. After 3 years it still has no problem driving down to another state for a track event and driving back.

Damn 51mpg!!
No matter how you really look at it those Geo's are the cheapest damn things out there and they get better gas mileage than alot of hybrids.
