Who actually uses the Comp Cams 975 springs?

So how do you fit these springs that are supposed to be a direct fit into the stock spring seats? They are about .040" bigger diameter than stock and nowhere close to fitting. I guess I'm not going be using the new cams anytime soon :cry:

Yep. Grab a metal coat hanger, scratch it, and then bend it back and forth (like a valve opening and closing)

I installed 2 or 3 sets in the last month into 7m heads, they are tight like everyone says but will fit. A little harder to get the retainer down also since they are a touch taller unsprung. Heed Downward and IJ's warning about scratching the spring, wrap your pliers with rubber or use soft brass pliers.

I have a set I didn't use I'll sell for $40 if anyone is interested. I bought two sets of springs but ended up using the BC springs because I already had his valves and retainers.

got em in mine, and yeah, thank god I let the machine shop install, em, they're a LOT longer unsprung than stock springs...
