White smoke

We recently installed a 1JZ into a MkIII, and it developed a habit of kicking out white smoke under boost. I changed the head gasket, but it didn't seem to affect it at all. The oil looks perfect, but it does seem to lose coolant slowly. Any ideas on where it could be getting into the combustion process? Car runs pretty good, other than that.

Yeah they end up leaking oil on the turbine side really bad. It's not going through the engine so it doesn't always end up burning and turning blue like normal oil smoke.

If you're losing coolant it could just be a simple coolant hose around the turbos. You won't see the leak easily cause the heat evaporates the coolant so fast after it leaks out. Those hoses are really the only common coolant leak on a 1JZ. The head gaskets almost never leak.

Yeah, They are twins. What a pain it was to take that side off for the new head gasket. Looks like a new single for this beast. Any idea the best size single to run for 4-500 HP?

400-500HP?

Easy, a GT35R with a larger turbine housing for top end. Ask anyone who used that turbo, they are a very good combination for the 1JZ and a street car.

Be sure to check all your coolant lines, AND the clamps to secure them. I found I had a loose clamp once, was slowly leaking out coolant... had a similar problem with the Mk2, the upper rad hose was loose on the thermostat housing side of things. Was worried I had a BHG until I realized it was just a loose clamp. :)
