which way do rods face?

Maybe a dumb question, but my machine shop removed pistons from rods to re-con and change pistons to +.020, but now I'm ready to reassemble and unsure which way oil spray hole in rods should face. Makes sense they face the thrust side so that would mean oil holes face passenger side as seen from the top of the engine, true?

Notice the 3 markings on one side of the rod/cap face the front of the engine
