Which supra would you go with?

Oh sorry, I just found the poll option in thread tools... Anyway, thanks for the input guys!

Here is what I like about the white supra: The color, int. looks good, and the motor and body are stock so I can do what ever I want to it. Ok, things that suck: it needs body work, it smokes, (what color and when? I dont know) missmatch rims, and the turbo maybe bad.

The black supra: I like the color, rims, motor mods, its a hard-top I think, and thats it. Things that suck: the bumper is fugly!, burgundy interior yuck!, seats are leather and in bad shape, may need some body work, and its a ricer boy's project car.

BTW no matter what supra I get, it will be a project car. My truck is my DD.

i say test drive em... the white one has body damage, so i'd say stay clear of that one, but the burgundy interior is a major trun off for me :-/, but i've gotta say, the black one does look like a rather good deal

I say keep looking, But if you did have to get one go with the black one. The body damage on the white one was pretty bad compared to the black one.

Black one also had some nice parts you could sell on Ebay to pay for fixing up the black one.

Believe it or not, that burgundy interior can grow on ya... lol... I thought I would HATE it, I planned on doing a swap, but the longer I own it, the more I like it... I'm going to do a few subtle things, like change the carpet to black and a few other things, but for the most part, I like it... :love:

So sell the bomex bumper for like 300, and buy an 89+ bumper for around 100. Then buy a full gray interior and switch it out.

I'd buy the black one.

maybee so... but the times i've been in a car w/ that interior, i hated it... shadow grey is by far my favorite tho, then standard grey (maybee tan, never seen one before)

id say neither, keep looking and find a nice cherry one that hasnt been modded and go from there. less work that needs to be undone and then redone

Agreed, burgundy is awesome, just grows on you.

But I dont know about either supra, the black one: something has to be horribly wrong with it for him to be selling it for that cheap especially with all the mods he listed, or he is just full of crap. Granted it might be the case where he just needs to get rid of it, but that is unlikely. And with the white one: that body damage is bad, to get that fixed youd have to get a new rear panel then cut out the damaged section and reweld. that aint cheap. You also have to think that with that kind of damage to the exterior something must have been rocked hard on the suspension. So might want to check that out. either way it is risky. I'd stick with looking for a mint one.

I say go with the black one. That body damage on the white one looks like an expensive fix. Besides like everyone here has said you could sell the parts on the black car and get it working properly. Either way you should def, at the very least, test drive these cars.

the black one = about another $2k in fixing up the engine and drivetrain and all of his mistakes, and factor in another $1k for whatever else you may find and you end up with a nice black supra with FFIM and clean setup. i'd find a stock bumper though, i dont know if its just the bare bumper or what but it looks fugly like that.

Id say neither and find a better one, the white one is nice except for the body damage, may try to talk him down in price. I personally don’t like the front end on the black car, stock 91 looks way better.
