Which piggy back or system to go with?

I would like to get rid of my LEX AFM and my HKS SAFR and get something that will eliminate the AFM and have more features than my hks safr and keep my AC. I have looked at the Emanage Ultimate and it has a lot of features that I like, anitlag, afm delete, datalogging. The only problem is there isn't really anyone running this with a 7M that I have found with really good success. There is a guy Snap Performance here locally that has done several of these on MK4's and they all love it.

The Map ECU2 seems to be really great but I haven't seen many MK3's with them, However PHR and MVPmotorsports is a 20 min drive and they do a lot of these. ECU2 has antilag, boost control, afm delete, and timing control.

The Maft Pro seems to be really good and a lot of people seem to really like it the only feature that I wish it had was the anti lag or 2 step. But it does have boost control and the afm delete. There isn't anyone in my area running this to help me tune it though.

I would love to get an AEM, I just don't have that much money to put in to the car right now.

My mods are: JE pistons, shot peened rods, hks hg with arps, rebuilt head, fidanza flywheel, stage 4 clutch, lex afm with hks safr, aeromotive afpr, walbro, 660 injectors, koyo radiator, hks ic kit with tial replica bov, bolt on 60-1 turbo with boss housing, 3" turbo back and some good sticky tires.

My goal is to have a system that will allow me to have my AC because I live in TX and run consistant 11.50's at the track.

So what do you guys suggest?

Thanks in advance.

I didn't read all of your post, but I love the Stinger I got from Aaron at www.driftmotion.com

I haven't ever used the AEM, but some of the guys on here like that one as well. It looks like you've got a lot of researching to do, so you make sure and get the right one for your car. Good luck.

Does it allow you to keep your AC though?

Our cars aren't integrated like modern cars, so the A/C system is almost completely seperate from the engine management.

Pretty much any of them will allow you to keep A/C...

I was just asking if it eliminated the AC, because a lot of stand alones do.

as poodles and jetjock pointed out.

The A/C system is a standalone system. It does not require any ECU inputs. It DOES output to the ECU for idle up but that is as far as comminication goes.

That is great, that is exactly what I needed to know. Now that I know that I am open to a good system, I was afraid of the standalones because I didn't think I could get my ac to work.

So back on topic what would you guys suggest for my goals?

AEM
Stinger
MAP ECU

I think the Stinger would be the cheapest and I know Aaron is a stand up guy and will stand behind the product...

I come from a land down under
My MoTeC took out my interior and reversing lights....... :nono:

To the question: Get the best you can afford and make sure there's someone in your area that can tune it if you can't do it yourself.

The Map Ecu and the Greddy EMU I can have tuned locally. And there are a couple of people here running the Stinger that could help, all with 1J's though but still could help.

Those are the 3 that I am considering because of price and my goal of only 500rwhp
