way to much work, what are you talking about. A cam swap takes less then a hour from start to finish. Call a dyno shop and ask them what they would charge you so you can test the two cams, with you doing the labor on the cam swap and timing them in. This is the best way to see what cams are the best.

Dyno time is expensive! Why would he want to pay that kind of money to work on his own car?

The ruben cams, are the specs at .050 lift? What turbo are you running? Because just saying 15 psi does not really mean much. Where in the power band do you want the power to be? Both cams would be best for a certain application, but what results are you looking for? Street driving with good mid range, or racing top end power?

no 330 lift is not at .050.. i was told they were stage 1 cams. i am running the stock ct-26 turbo. my power band right now is from 3000rpm to 5500rpm, i would like it to be around 2500rpm to 5000rpm... i want street driving with some good mid range.:1zhelp:

I agree with suprarich. You have to determine where you want ur power first, then u can better decide which cams to use. Then sell the other ones for dyno time money!

Not that expensive, around here dyno time is 80-100 bucks a hour. So for less them 200 you can have PROVEN #'s that show what set of cams are better.

How to do it, LOL> Enter dyno with one of the sets of cams already one the car. Take a pull, and get the #'s. Then swap cams on dyno, (less then a hour if you know what you are doing;)) take another pull, compair #'s then just stay with the best set of cams. If it was the first cams then swap them back in once you get home.

The key thing is now you have proven witch ones are better, not just guessing.

Here is what I did ... I took my cylinder head flow tested at several different lifts found out
where my # were and ordered a camshaft accordingly .... this is the short version of the story..
I don't like guess work

You would want a shorter lift longer duration cam for a low end power band. I still do not know the full specs on your Ruben cams. The only true measure of a cam is at .050 lift. Advertised specs are not 100% worthless but close. If you cannot find the specs for the cams, your only recourse is to do the dyno tune thing with both sets to find which makes the best power in the range you are looking for.
