Which BOV?

I'm curious to hear what people think of different BOVs as my stock one is shot.

I'm aiming for 350-400 hp when I'm done, but don't want to buy one that's fine for stock now and end up having to get another one later on.

I'd like to keep it under $150, but any suggestions are welcome. I know I've seen some cheap ones on ebay(Greddy and Blitz knockoffs), but don't want to ruin my engine being cheap.

I come from a land down under
I use a TurboSmart type3 that's great and is plumbed back into the intake and they've just made a direct fit replacement type that looks to be a good choice if you're not after a whoosh maker!
(they do an atmo vent version as well)
(ie: actually care that it works for it's intended purpose rather than just making noise so people look)

I'm trying my luck with the hks racing bypass valve. Its on sale for 175 with free shipping from alamo, we'll see how it works out when it gets here.

check the search button for BOV's and see what comes up! PM some guys and see if they still have them!

Thanks, but I already did. I don't want a list of what's out there, just what people have used and would suggest to others, what to avoid, and possibly where to buy(I was probably going to buy a Forge Motorsport from HPF).

Exactly what I'm looking for. I don't want attention from ricers or police, I just want a reliable weekend racer.

I'm in the same boat. stock one seems like it's not working. Not sure what I should get.... I'm guessing bypass b/c it's a stock car, but will have a T4 and Tanabe Catback and electric fan soon.

Did some digging around, I'm looking at the TurboXS type H-34 bypass, HKS stnd bypass or maybe a turbo smart.

for clarification: the only real difference between a BOV and a BPV is when you get the recirculation fitting for the BOV, and re-route it back into the intake, in which case, it becomes a bypass valve. :)

Hell yes! Someone buy one of those and test it out. Reasonable price, no extra stuff to buy to recirc... I'd run one of those in a heartbeat.

Even looks like the internals are better - proper sealed piston design instead of the silly membrane that everyone else uses.

I bought the new Blitz BOV and removed the bell mouth outlet and machined an adpator from aluminum to re-route it back to the fromt of the turbo...

Cheers,

yup, I checked the parts review and it didn't cover any that i am interested in. Hmm, those forge Bypass valves from HPF arn't to bad looking. Probly end with one of them b/c of the price too.
