So I was just about to purchase an arp head stud kit when I stumbled across two different types for the 7mgte motor but I don't know which is better or what is the difference and neither does google so the part# are 203-5402 arp head stud kit & 203-4202 arp head stud kit to be clear these are both head studs neither is head bolts if anyone has used either and they are highly recommended please let me know because I'm Tryna purchase these tonight

main studs are for the main caps that hold the crank in, not for the rods, but yes the part numbers do match to that.

Btw, there are in fact two versions of head studs for the 7mgte- regular, and undercut.
Not sure if one is better than the other, though i've used both.

You have used the undercut studs before? And you are positive those are way better than the regular studs? Because I'm buying them this Friday so I need to make sure I get the right ones

Not necessarily on a 7m but ive built a couple drag motors and always go with undercut studs from arp for the heads. Rod bolts I use carr (expensive little bastards) but they have a tensile strength of 1,000,000psi. Anywho definitely go with the undercuts, you wont regret it.
