My girlfriend and I are rolling through Tokyo for two nights on our way back from Australia and are wondering where the hell to stay. Anyone have any experiences at any hotels in Tokyo? I have no idea which area of the city I should be looking at either. We want to see as much of the city as we can in two days, so I assume somewhere in the heart of the city is ideal. Price range is about $150-200 per night. Anyone have any recommendations?

There is the Hotel Nikko in Minato, The Hotel Century Southern Tower Hotel in Shibuya, the Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku, The Park Hotel in Minato, Hotel New Otani in Chiyoda. Those are just a few of the hotels in the area. All of those places should have rooms for around the 150-200 dollar mark.

I've been to the Prince hotel, which was semi-close to Yokota Airbase. The room was big for Japanese standards [still small/regular to us, but oh well] and had a regular sized bath, which is also odd. The lobby was amazing, almost intimidating. I do not remember the price, as it has been about 7 years since, and who knows - much can change over that amount of time.

we're flying into Norita airport and are going to take the train into the downtown area as that is where we plan on spending our time. RHDMK3: Thanks, I'll check out some of those places you've listed.

Well if you don't mind taking a 20 minute bullet train ride...

Try the Hotel Fair City in Utsinomia. Its right next to the train station, 10 minutes by a walk to Autobacs super store, and next door to the hotel is a McDonalds.
