whitemike; Auto stores local to me only carry up to 10mm hose.

jetjock; I looked at some springs. Couldn't find any in the diamter I'm looking for (tho I'm sure they're out there). There was one by Goodyear stating it allows you to use 5/8 hose in 3/4 applications. Not sure how that works. Also, I can't begin to fathom how I would fish 6ft of spring into the hose. I'm guessing they come compressed in small lengths and you fish them in and release something to make them expand. Do they make a 6ft spring? If not, can I use them without cutting the hose into several sections.

If I get a decent bulk heater hose like Gates; would I still require a spring insert? Honestly, the price of the heater hose and springs is coming damn close to the thick walled silicone option.

I assumed you needed 6 feet of hose total, not that it would be contiguous. My bad. Odd that it'd require that.

Lots of springs out there. Try the local hardware store or Macmaster-Carr. Doesn't have to be a close fit and doesn't have to be one spring. Go stainless if possible. Or try it without...as you said it may not need springing.

Always spring a silicone booster hose though especially if the silicone content is high. Not that silicone should be used on the booster at all but some folks just won't listen...

Just don't kink it and it won't collaspe. Mines been good for about a year and a half.

Although for your brake booster I guess a spring would be a good safety measure.

6ft does sound excessive, but I'm running the ISC line along the intake runners and under the radiator to the turbo intake pipe. I don't want any lines running over the valve covers. Otherwise, 2ft for a straight run would work. I'll probably need at least one spring since I'll need to make a pretty sharp bent from the ISC valve when the line's run along the intake runners. It'll probably pinch without the spring.

If color wasn't a choice i would recomend you get this, as i have the same thing and it doesn't collapse on me cause it's 3-ply silicone, the ones you posted are just solid silicone only and don't have anything running inside of it to hold it up against vacuum.

Plus it comes in 1m size so you'll rougly get about 3ft worth of silicone 3ply for $20 shipped to your door, that an awesome price shipped.
