Anyone know where to get a masterpower T-70? I've looked at Miketurboinc and they are out of stock. Supposedly there is something up with Masterpowers factory.

talk to jtamulis (jeff @ mdc) he uses alot of master power products to build his bolt on turbos at notrice.com, they are really nice units, a buddy (mkIIIna) on here has the jt61 and loves it.

thanks

Why are the Masterpower turbos so cheap? Are they less reliable than others? Im becoming more interested in these turbos now that I see the prices.....what kind of power can be made with the T70 with supporting mods?

A guy on SF makes 500+ on 23psi. Sees full boost by 4500rpm too. He made 420rwhp at 18psi on a Lex AFM and fuel system.

no they are not less reliable than others because they are a garrett affiliate because garrett bought them out and are located over in england, they are so much cheaper than garrett themselves because they are just a regular journal bearing instead of any ball bearing set up and they are they older garrett designs also, i may be wrong on that but iirc they are. . . but yet at the same time still very good at making power and lasting. . .also if you notice their turbos dont go any bigger than a 70mm so its cheaper and easier to make and put together.

this is why jeff @ mdc (notrice.com) uses them to make his bolt on turbos for our cars, cheaper, very reliable, durable, and readily avaliable all the while great at making power...

Does anyone know if you can use the JT turbo oiling line kit from www.notrice.com for a Masterpower T-70?

probably not seeing as the turbos on there are bolt on turbos, but any t70 oil line kit will work, or better yet give jeff a pm or call whichever and talk to him, let him know what you are wanting to do, he is very nice and can answer pretty much any and all turbo questions and he can make you a custom t4 set up turbo instead of a bolt on..

p.s
btw for anyone who wants to know in this months issue of turbo magazine there is a mk3 from the uk that uses the master power gt45 turbo, i picked it up myself and its a good article..

Not every T-70 oil line kit will work because all the hoses would too long of short. And the threads in a Masterpower turbo might be different from Garrett or an ebay turbo.

My MP T-70 uses standard T4 sized oil supply and drain mounts. The threads were NPT IIRC. But I did not use the threads, I used the adapters for the feed, and the drain. (The feed has a small hole in it, limiting the amount of oil my high pressure setup will flow to the turbo, so it keeps it from smoking...)

Hard to see down there, but it fits pretty well when you cut up and modify the Ebay manifold.

I bought mine from Mike Turbo. Sorry to hear there is a problem with buying them right now.

I have not actually run this turbo yet... LOL Need to get my Maft Pro wired up still...

What I love is that it looks so small under there.. :) LOL You do not even notice the 4" inlet when it's covered up with the 3" upper IC pipe... Stealth can be fun sometimes. This should be capable of nearly 600hp I hope.

ahh i didnt know that and i dont see why it would be different from a garrett because they are owned by garrett, but i havent compared the two side by side so i cant say for sure, but i did learn something new.

btw adjuster very very nice and clean set up....
