I currently have the hatch shocks with the green stickers, my car was wingless from the factory. I want to buy NEW hatch shocks that hold up a winged hatch. I figure I can order them from Jeff Watson @ Champion, but is there a cheaper place to get them? Anybody have any known part numbers for some that will be reliable and hold up my hatch? Or am I better off calling Champion?

I come from a land down under
<nodding> 100% perfect!

They have a really nice damper stage at the end of the opening so you lift the hatch 6" then let it go up by itself and there's no CLUNK at the end.

i have sachs hood struts, they work great. open the hood 2" and up, up, and away! :biglaugh:

+1 for sachs. you can get them anywhere, if you prefer not to go with rockauto, you can order them through autozone, advance, etc

Thanks, Zumtizzle.

While I don't mind the clunk, I have some credit at Rock Auto I need to use up, so these are perfect. Soon I'll be clunkless with the best of y'all.
