So I'm pretty sure turbo's fried. It still boosts, but not very well...I've got ~2mm shaft play and some weird sounds too (pops and squeals) but I can get 8 lbs. I prolly shouldn't even run it...but ya know.

I was thinking of an upgrade, maybe a new exh manifold and downpipe too. Where's a good place to buy this? I want reliability at 12 -15 lbs or more. I don't know how much my rebuilt stock engine can handle tho...

eBay has got a deal to good to be true -->

yeah! and maybe i could add a 50 shot of nos to get that big wheel spinning! I don't know what kind of crazy hardware you'd need to bolt up one of them big guys. thanks for the ideas!

i was thinking something a little quicker to install. That eBay one still looks sweet.

Then you have to buy lines, mod the DP. air intake is 4" mod there(coupler, pipe, filter). turbo outlet the same size as your current couper? if not mod there. buy a wastegate...Cost could go up quick.

Upgaded bolt on might save $ and time. Aaron over at driftmotion has treated me very good and I would ask him about his new line of bolt on turbos he is not advertising yet:naughty: They sound very promising!

on the other hand those T4 manis and wastegates hold up good cant say on the turbos. We put one on my friends supra over a year ago and hes running a 66mm turbo on it and its held up great.(runs 11's in the 1/4.. it a MK2 though with the 7m)

I was in your same situation not to long ago(I went SP61GT)....just my 2 cents. Good luck.

Try one of the many authorized vendors right here on this forum. Spending your money here helps the community by keeping vendors in business who want to provide new parts for your supra. When you give your money to a non-supra vendor, you just give your money away.

I agree with you suprarich. However, if you are on a budget (most of us are) or come across a smokin deal... what then? Anytime I'm in need of a part for my MKIII I always source our authorized vendors first. If they have what I need at a decent price then the deal will be done. If not then I must look elsewhere.

BTW, That precision turbo that guy is selling is now $350shipped.

That turbo in the link is going to have some serious lag, and no telling how long it's going to last. If you get it, I would send it off to a turbo specialist right off the bat for inspection.

yeah that's why i thought nitrous would be sweet.

I heard from a workmate about VNG turbos, those are the latest and sound pretty cool. I may look for one of those. There's just so many options...and those darn nuts on the 3 bolt flange downpipe are a beeyatch to take off.
