Go get a charcoal canister off a hyundai (they are about the size of a coke can) then you can put it wherever the hell you want. :icon_bigg

Its pretty hard to relocate the huge CC that comes with the motors. I wouldnt recommend just deleting it without knowing what the cause and effect of that will be.

there's a huge spot behind the wheel well area on both sides in the fenders you can make custom mounts to mount it there.

so duane's catch can is worthless?

Just cause Duane makes huge numbers does not mean he is "GOD"....worthless no but indeed less effective! Condensing hot vapor with a hot bottle doesn't work well!

I think he was wondering why I would do it, maybe ask yourself the same thing..?

I'm sure Duane's turbo bag helps too.

Ding ding sing!!

Question: WTF would Duane put a catch can where it gets hot?

Answer: Maybe it doesn't GET hot? Hmmmm, yeah maybe so! Lets ask him by pm and not assume.

My catch can does not get hot where it sits, main reason, my down pipe is double wrapped and I have a turbo blanket on hot side of turbo as well. I don't just slap things in place and I am sure many of you know me, that is not how I do things. Noone said I was GOD, but I do THINK before I put something on my car. ;)

Thanks
Duane

Yep, you've done nearly everything humanly possible to reduce heat in your engine bay.

The average joe, not so much and it would be better off on the other side of the engine bay (as the catch can is really a condenser for oil vapors).

Where do you get the brackets to mount it nice and sturdy. I have the tercel cc with its mount but it's meant for a curved surface. maybe I can bend it to shape...
Cause I'm about to mount my perma cool ps cooler also and I've never custom mounted anything b4. I don't have any metal strips laying around my garage so I can't really fab anything.

What do you guys use?

Spacers is what I used.

The back of can has 2 holes.

SS Screws. (long, forgot length)
Made custom round spacers from delrin to keep can separate from body of car.
Purchased long ss screws.
Drilled holes in to body in the inner fender or where you want to do it. (have to take off inner liner cover and put back on when finished in my case)

Oh wow the delron material was long or thick enough to use that as the actual mount keeping the round of the can far enough from the mounting point so the ss screws thread flush and connect?

I also plan on putting it inside my pass fender.

That's really interesting where did you purchase the delron material?

Happen to take any pics when you did this?

Delron or Delrin??

Delrin is an FDA approved plastic similar too nylon but pretty much completely different lol

acetal homopolymer resin...it's pretty much just all around a badass plastic with a hefty price tag...and much overkill for the application...I machine ton's of it at work.

Only stuff I have is brown in color though.

Typo, the I is next to the O. haha Fixed, thanks.

Mine is black and machined at the machine shop. I only used that because we had some lying around and the fact that it wouldn't scratch my paint. :) Overkill is what I know best!!! lol
