Get out while you are still ahead LOL. Might not be the best idea to be driving the car if you are thinking there is a problem with it.

I know the tsrm spec thank you! I also know that 90% of the supras out there have more idle oil pressure than 4psi.

The op obviously noticed a sudden change in oil pressure there for something has indeed changed...be it his stock oil guage failing, oil bypass valves in the pump and filter housing failing, stock pump is out of spec, squirters need replaced or whatever....I'm trying too give him easy things too check first! Royal purple is German (simply used it as an example as every store carries it damn near!). There is only a handful of problems that will effect oil pressure and the op is the only one who knows what the pressure on his motor "typically" is...just cause it's still within Toyota spec does not mean something is wrong....for all I know or we know, nothing is wrong at all!

No worries, Wasn't correcting anything you posted, just adding information. :)

My car had the same problem but i had a oil leak not a big one but it was there the gasket on the Turbo line from block was leaking fixed that and changed oil and my oil pressure went back to normal. it only droped by 5-10psi but it was pretty sudden so i figured it was a problem.

Indeed that looks low! You should see a max of 40psi at 3000rpm or greater! The stock system generally won't let you get more that 40 as there are too many pressure bleeds in the system that all fully open at 40psi...

Now considering that this is a rebuilt motor and I'm sure you don't want too remove it too double check bearing clearance etc...then I can only give you ideas as how too increase oil flow/pressure with some basic mods...

#1...remove oil pan and replace piston squirter bolts...$20 each from Toyota..6 of them:-(

2. Shim oil pump bypass relieve valve 5mm using washers (homedepot)

3. Do an oil filter relocation with full flow thermostat control'd oil cooler (this will completely eliminate one of the pressure loss systems!)

ofcourse I'd verify with another high quality oil pressure guage (aftermarket) too make sure your stock guage is reading correctly!....do an oil change and inspect old filter and oil for crap..
